Creating Zoom Sessions
Learn how to create and configure professional Zoom sessions for your courses.
Creating a New Session
- Go to Zoom Sessions â Add New in WordPress admin.
- Fill in the following fields:

| Session Topic | The title of your Zoom meeting (students will see this) | Yes |
| Date & Time | When the session starts | Yes |
| Duration | Expected length in minutes (default: 60) | Yes |
| Timezone | Session timezone (students see times in their timezone) | Yes |
| Related Course | Link to a Tutor LMS course (by Post ID) | No |
Advanced Options
Expand the Advanced Options panel to configure:
- Enable Waiting Room â Attendees wait in a lobby until you admit them.
- Mute Participants on Entry â All attendees are muted when they join.
- Auto-Record Session â Automatically record the meeting for playback.
After Publishing
When you click Publish, the plugin automatically:
- Sends the session data to the Tutor Zoom SaaS.
- Creates a Zoom meeting via the Zoom API.
- Returns the Meeting ID, Host Link, and Join Link.
- Stores everything in your WordPress database.
The Join Link is automatically displayed on the linked course page for enrolled students.
